Antique necklace and earring set from 1830-1850s that was made in the late Georgian or early Victorian period. The necklace has 19 large Citrine paste stones with a closure that is also set with an oval cut Citrine stone. The larges center stone is 20 X 15.5 mm.

Antique necklace and earring set from 1830-1850s that was made in the late Georgian or early Victorian period. The necklace has 19 large Citrine paste stones with a closure that is also set with an oval cut Citrine stone. The larges center stone is 20 X 15.5 mm. There are additional 5 tear drops dangling from the large stones. The earrings are 1 7/8 Inches long total. They have Gold hooks and links between the oval and tear drop, tested 9 Karat. The Gold is believed to be later added. Jewelry from this Era is often altered or repaired throughout the centuries. The color of the stones are very consistent with natural Citrine. They are brilliant like Diamonds, just like the colored paste jewelry from the era. Hallmarked STERLING on the necklace clasp that attributed it to be American made or later altered/repaired in America. Silver content has also been tested. Necklace is 16 Inches long, 59.1 grams total.
